Campaign FAQ

Why is OMSSA launching this campaign?

We know that investing in people makes sense. We also know that the majority of Ontarians support a strong government role in the funding and delivery of social services, but many aren’t familiar with the real results OMSSA’s members are achieving right in their local communities.

Will all of OMSSA’s 47 members be included?

Yes! OMSSA’s priority is to include at least one story from each of our 47 members.

How will OMSSA select the 65 stories?

OMSSA is working with each of our members to source ideas and suggestions for stories to showcase from their organizations. As the campaign develops, OMSSA will work with members to ensure we can develop a slate of stories that represents the breadth and depth of human services and the results that members deliver.

Can anyone submit an idea for a story?

OMSSA is always happy to hear from our members about the work that they’re doing in their communities. To submit an idea, send an email marked “Community Builders” to communications@omssa.com that includes:

  • Name of the story – the program, partnership, initiative or project
  • Main contact (name, title, phone, email)
  • Your brief thoughts on why it would make a strong case study

How will I know when stories and other materials are available?

Stories and supporting materials will be published here on this web portal as they are developed, so check back often!

OMSSA will also provide updates to members throughout the year on campaign progress.

Will I be able to share and reference the stories and other materials?

Yes! These stories are meant to be shared, celebrated, and referenced in members’ and sector-wide efforts to advocate for the important role we play as community builders.

We look forward to sharing them with you!
