Professional Development - EventsAs part of our Events program OMSSA offers conferences and seminars that:
OMSSA draws on expertise throughout Ontario and across Canada to provide attendees with the latest information on trends in public policy and innovations in human services. OMSSA offers three conferences each year- A Spring Leadership Seminar, a Learning Symposium and a Fall Training Seminar-that examine the broad spectrum of municipal human service programs. The Learning Symposium also features a front line forum designed specifically to meet the broad learning needs of front line staff from all program areas. Program-specific seminars are also offered throughout each year in partnership with such organizations as the Ontario Association of Hostels and the Service Manager Housing Network. Everyone is welcome to attend OMSSA events. Whether you are a senior or middle manager of a CMSM, a government staff member, a member of a provincial association, a representative of a community agency, an elected official or a member of the general public, your participation in OMSSA conferences and seminars will help you achieve the highest standards in your delivery of human services.
